Site hiccups

For the past few hours I have been monitoring some strange connectivity issues with the site. Seems that some users are finding the site not coming up or taking long times to load. After investigating the issue it seems there is a area that some users connections are routed through that is having hicups. Unfortunately these nodes that are having hicups are completely out of our control.

We have our site being monitored from several locations and only connections going through a certain area seem to be having these issues.

We’ll keep you updated.

We are currently migrating the site to a new host to speed things up for yall. We should be back up shortly.

UPDATE 1/12/10 : 1:40AM est

The site is back up for some but not for others.

The name servers are propagating and take longer for some to see the changes and not so long for others.

Twiturm is currently down due to a Twitter issue. We are in the process of redoing the site so when twitter goes down we are still up and running.

Comments Temporarily Disabled

Comments have been disabled temporarily on the site. This has been done to help the site run as fast and smooth as possible as we change the way comments are submitted and viewed.

Site Outage

The site was down over the july 4th weekend. This was due to copyright infringment. We as well as our host were sent a cease and desist letter from Atlantic Records over a T.I. song.

Because of this, the site will undergo a few changes. For one a “Flag” button to flag a track as violating a copyright. Those with 3 strikes will be banned from the site. This site was created to host music that you create, not as a place to host a new T.I. song you want to act like your the first with it.

Stricter policies and more policing will be going on for those that upload works they do not own the copyright for.
